Devine, Kerr and Paterson power New Zealand to series-clinching win
Devine’s maiden T20I century helped New Zealand recover from 27/1 in the fourth over to 171/2 in 20. Devine was dismissed on the penultimate ball of the innings, via a run out. She had struck 12 fours and three sixes, and had shared a second-wicket partnership of 142 with Suzie Bates, who finished unbeaten on 47 off 46 balls. Shabnim Ismail was the only South African bowler to take a wicket, that of Lauren Down for 11, and she finished with 1/21 in her four overs.

South Africa’s chase never took off, as frequent wickets kept them stuttering throughout. Lizelle Lee top-scored with 25, and only three other batters got into double figures, as they eventually folded for 102 in 17 overs.
Kerr and Peterson were the best of the bowlers, sharing five wickets between them, with Peterson taking the honours with 3/14 in four overs, ahead of Kerr, who finished with 2/17 in three.
