Dubai Sports City launches hunt for Dubai's Biggest Fan
Dubai Sports City (DSC) has launched the hunt for Dubai's Biggest Fan - Sabse Badaa Fan - ahead of the Mobilink Jazz Cup One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, presented by Bank Alfalah.
And person who earns that title will get two Premium Tickets to the ODI between the two sides at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday 18 November, as well as a cap signed by both teams' captains.
All fans have to do is to text either PAK or SL to 4720 and the person who sends the most SMSs before midnight on 15 November will earn the accolade.
The winner of the competition will be announced on 16 November and will receive the signed cap during the dinner break between innings at the match two days later.
Standard messaging rates apply and the more texts a person sends, the more chance they have of being crowned Dubai's Biggest Fan.
DSC General Manager - Sports Business Mr Maqbul Dudhia said: "We're delighted to launch our search for Dubai's Biggest Fan - Sabse Badaa Fan.
"Our quest to find the biggest supporter of either Pakistan or Sri Lanka is a great way for us to reach out to fans and help them feel part of the forthcoming ODI series.
"It follows on from our extensive use of Facebook, Twitter and Audioboo already this season and is another example of our commitment to get the fans as close to the action as possible.
"We have also sought to do that through sensible ticket pricing, with the cheapest ticket for our matches in the Mobilink Jazz Cup presented by Bank Alfalah costing just AED25.
"The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is one of the most spectacular venues in the world for day-night cricket with our famous 'Ring of Fire' floodlights all around the tops of the stands, and we look forward to welcoming fans, including Dubai's Biggest Fan, to be part of the action."
Dubai Sports City is hosting the first three matches of the five-game series, on 11, 14 and 18 November, with all matches starting at 3pm and the first and third of them taking place on Fridays. The series then concludes with matches in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
