EAP announces 2011 Elite and Supplementary Umpires Panel

Following a review of the EAP Elite Umpires Panel (EUP) and Supplementary Umpires Panel (SUP), the ICC EAP office announced fresh appointments for 2011.

Rankings have been made by the Regional Umpiring Consultant taking into account the observations, reports and feedback from tournaments and National Cricketing bodies.

The ICC Associate & Affiliate International Umpires Panel was established in 2005 and is the pinnacle for umpires at this level. Umpires on this panel officiate in ODIs involving Associate members, ICC Intercontinental Cup matches and other ICC events such as the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup and ICC Women's World Cup.

ICC EAP currently has one member, Shahul Hameed (Indonesia) on this panel.

As part of their appointment to the EAP Panels, it is expected that members will be available to officiate in ICC EAP development tournaments and not only enhance their own umpiring skills, but also work with their respective National boards to develop and implement initiatives to increase the quantity and quality of 'active' umpires in their home country as well as be available to actively officiate in their own countries.
