The high intensity trans-Tasman cricket clashes between Australia and New Zealand don’t usually end in abandonments, but then not many have been played at Edgbaston, which hosted a similar rain-affected clash when the two met during the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

But it was not all gloom and doom in Birmingham. There were plenty of positives for each side to take into their next game.
