England announce ODI squad for Australia series after T20 World Cup
Eleven of the 15 members of England's T20 World Cup squad will stay back in Australia for the ODI series. The four names flying to the land Down Under for the series are Sam Billings, Jason Roy, Olly Stone and James Vince.
Jason Roy finds a place in the ODI squad after failing to make the final 15-member list for T20 World Cup. The dashing opener has been out of touch lately but a good series in Australia could help him hold on to a place in the ODI squad with the 50-over World Cup next year not too far away.
James Vince makes a return having last represented England in ODIs in July 2021 at home against Pakistan. Sam Billings and Olly Stone are the other two names who will fly from England for the ODI series.
England are pre-tournament favourites and should they make it to the final of the T20 World Cup to be played on 13 November, they will only have a gap of four days ahead of the ODI series.
Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Olly Stone, James Vince, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Luke Wood.
