England announce squads for Brook's first series as captain

England welcome West Indies for a three-match ODI and T20I, starting 29 May.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, beginning on 29 May.

Harry Brook will lead both squads in his first series as skipper in what promises to be an exciting summer contest against the Caribbean side.

Liam Livingstone has been left out of both white-ball squads for the series, while all-rounder Liam Dawson has earned a recall to the T20I setup for the first time since September 2022, but will only feature in the T20Is. The experienced left-arm spinner will be aiming to add to his 11 appearances in the format.

Phil Salt and Luke Wood also return to the T20I squad, while Will Jacks makes a comeback into both squads.

ODI Squad: Harry Brook (captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Tom Hartley, Will Jacks, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jamie Smith.

T20I Squad: Harry Brook (captain), Rehan Ahmed, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Overton, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Luke Wood.

Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Tom Hartley, Joe Root and Jamie Smith, who are part of the 50-over squad, will make way for Rehan Ahmed, Liam Dawson, Salt and Luke Wood in the T20I squad.

The squad also sees a revamp following England's disappointing Champions Trophy 2025 campaign, where they lost all three games in the group stage, thereby resulting in Jos Buttler stepping down from his role as the white-ball skipper.

Left-arm seamer Luke Wood is also back in the T20I setup, while Tom Hartley has also been recalled to the ODI squad, both of whom last played the respective format in 2023.
