Harry Brook will captain both 16-member squads as England prepare for three ODIs and five T20Is against Australia.

Bethell returns to the ODI squad after recovering from the knee injury he sustained during England’s ODI series win against India in July.

Archer has also been included, having been rested for the tri-series in Pakistan, with the duo among the changes to the squad travelling for the ODI series in Australia.

Jacob Bethell smashed 105 off 48 balls to keep England in the hunt against India in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Final 2.

Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue join Archer as the four fast bowlers who will depart after the ODI series as England manage their workloads ahead of the crucial ICC World Test Championship away series against South Africa.

Thomas Rew and Eddie Jack have earned their first England call-ups after being named in the T20I squad.

Rew, 18, is the youngest member of the squad and captained the U19s side to the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup Final in February.

Phil Salt returns to the T20I setup after recovering from the quad injury that ruled him out of England’s 3-0 series victory over Sri Lanka last month.

Aneurin Donald retains his place following his debut in that series, while Luke Wood has also been recalled.

Jos Buttler remains sidelined as he begins his rehabilitation following hamstring surgery, while Saqib Mahmood misses out due to a knee injury.
