England name squad for 2027 Women's U19 T20 World Cup
England have named their 15-player squad for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2027, which will also feature in a bilateral T20 series in India.
England have become the first team to name their squad for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2027 in Nepal and Bangladesh.
The tournament will be the third edition of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. England were finalists in the inaugural 2023 edition, where they were beaten by India in the final, before reaching the semi-finals of the 2025 tournament in Malaysia.
Squad:
Maria Andrews, Amelie Bishop, Phoebe Brett, Eliza Bristowe, Flora Davies, Holly Garton, Bryony Gillgrass, Genevieve Jeer, Amelia Oliver, Shristi Patil, Prarthana Reddy, Faith Teekasingh, Clara Thacker, Skye Thomas, Venus Weerappuli.
Non-travelling reserves: Ava Clive, Ivreen Dhaliwal, Libby Fellows, Lucy Randle-Bissell and Isobel Thorndike.

What a catch!
18 year-old Phoebe Brett is the only returning member of England’s 2025 squad, while Maria Andrews, who was previously involved as a non-travelling reserve during preparations for that tournament, has now been named in the full squad.
Five players have also been selected as non-travelling reserves for the World Cup and will remain involved throughout the winter programme, including the training period in India following the T20 series.

Head coach Chris Guest said the group would enter the tournament as England’s best-prepared U19 squad yet, with the India series and extended time outdoors designed to give the players valuable match preparation closer to the World Cup.
“This is an exciting opportunity for this group of players who will be the best prepared squad we will have sent to the U19 Women’s World Cup," Guest said.
"The aspiration as always is to win the U19 World Cup. Taking on board learnings from previous campaigns, we have gone about things slightly differently this time, ensuring that our players are getting some game time outdoors much closer to the tournament."
The 15-player squad will begin preparations with training camps in the UK before travelling to India for a five-match T20 series in November and December 2026. England will remain in India for a further week after the series to continue their outdoor preparations ahead of the World Cup, which is expected to take place in January-February 2027.
