England, New Zealand players big movers in latest ICC Women's Rankings update

Performers during England’s tour of New Zealand were rewarded in the recent ICC Women’s Player Rankings update.

England finished the tour of New Zealand with a 2-1 series win over New Zealand in the ODIs following up the T20I series triumph. England took the first two games of the series with ease before the White Ferns salvaged a win in the final game, finishing the series on a positive note.

Top performers from this series made big strides in the Women’s Player Rankings.

Women's ODI Batting Rankings

The big mover in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings was Sophie Devine, whose captain’s knock of 100* from 93 balls in the third ODI saw her move up 10 places to enter the top 10 of the rankings. Devine, who had missed the last two games of the T20I series and the first two matches of the ODI series, helped New Zealand chase down a target of 195 in 39 overs.

England’s Amy Jones, who played crucial knocks for her side in the series, jumped up five places to reach the 12th place. She was also the Player of the Series and the leading run-scorer with 190 runs to her name.

Women's ODI Bowling Rankings

In the ODI Bowling Rankings, Kate Cross (679 points) moved up one place to sit at the third position right behind Australia’s Megan Schutt (682 points), on the back of a steady run in New Zealand.

The best of Amelia Kerr | CWC22

Amelia Kerr and Jess Kerr of New Zealand gained four spots each to finish at the 10th and 12th position in the rankings respectively. Amelia had picked five while Jess had taken seven English wickets in the ODI series.

Women's ODI All-rounder Rankings

In the All-rounder Rankings, Amelia (up by two spots to third) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (up by one spot to second) made gains and are only behind South Africa's Marizanne Kapp. Amelia had 69 runs to go with her five wickets, while Sciver-Brunt had 41 runs and five scalps.

Suzie Bates with three wickets and 84 runs in the ODI series jumped 15 spots to reach 33rd place.

The T20I series between South Africa and Sri Lanka as well as Bangladesh and Australia concluded last week.

Australia and Sri Lanka skippers Alyssa Healy and Chamari Athapaththu won the series for their respective sides and also made gains in the Batting Rankings.

Women's T20I Batting Rankings

Healy scored 110 runs in the T20I series while being dismissed only once, and jumped a place in the rankings. Athapaththu played a crucial role in the series decider against South Africa, scoring 73 from just 46 balls to secure a historic series win. This helped her move up two spots at the joint-seventh place along with Suzie Bates.

Women's T20I Bowling Rankings

Bangladesh’s Rabeya Khan (16th) and Australia’s Ash Gardner (17th) jumped five and two spots respectively in the bowler's rankings after finishing the tour with fine performances. Gardner picked up four wickets in the last two matches, finishing as the highest wicket-taker with 8 wickets in total.

Women's T20I All-rounder Rankings

South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk broke into the top 10 of the ICC Women’s T20I All-rounder Rankings, on the back of her 61 runs and four wickets against Sri Lanka.
