England raised to an easy six-wicket win over host New Zealand in the first women's Twenty20 cricket international at Wellington's Westpac Stadium on Friday.
Set to chase New Zealand's 80-9, England won with 2.2 overs to spare thanks to Sarah Taylor's unbeaten 31.
Left-armer Sian Ruck picked up wickets off successive deliveries to reduce England to 31-3 in the sixth over.
Taylor's 34-ball effort also featured four hits to the fence.
Earlier, England seamer Anya Shrubsole picked up her career-best figures of 5-11 to tear through the New Zealand line-up.
None of the New Zealand top-order got more than 10. The best effort came from Kate Broadmore who made 27 off 34 balls.
