Fakhar Zaman says Pakistan preparing well for ICC Champions Trophy
It was a frustrating afternoon for Fakhar Zaman as Pakistan’s final warm-up game against Australia before the ICC Champions Trophy was called off after just 10 overs in Birmingham.
Heavy rain ensured there would be no result with Australia 57 for one when the players came off the field.
Aaron Finch impressed with an unbeaten 36, while Muhammad Amir took one for nine off four overs and was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers.
For batsman Zaman, that meant there was no opportunity to impress, but he believes the team is getting used to English conditions.
“We’ve found it very good because we are here since 15 days, so we are preparing very well. We practised very hard in nets and previous matches, so we are feeling very good.
“In our country, the ball comes really hot on the bat and here, in these conditions, it's a bit slow and it swings a bit more than on our pitches, so it is a big difference but since we came here, we are adjusting.”

Pakistan will begin the tournament against rival India, with the two teams facing off at Edgbaston on Sunday.
With South Africa and Sri Lanka also in the pool, the clash with India will be a vital one, and Zaman, who made his first international appearance in March, is confident that Pakistan is in good shape.
He added: “We are feeling very good and all the boys are ready and feeling very comfortable, so hopefully we are ready.
“Tomorrow (Tuesday) we have practice, so hopefully it will not be raining. If it rains, we will go indoors and we will train there, and in the next days, we have also some practice sessions, so we'll work hard.”
