Former South Africa skipper to join Netherlands setup
Johan Botha joins the Netherlands coaching group for the July ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 fixtures in Utrecht against Nepal and Namibia.
The Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB) today confirmed the appointment of Johan Botha as a consultant of the Netherlands Men's team.
The 44-year-old will work with the Dutch squad during the crucial ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 home tri-series against Namibia and Nepal later this month. The six-match series will be staged at Kampong Cricket Club in Utrecht from 21 to 31 July.
Reacting to the news, Botha said, "I really look forward to joining the Netherlands team in this important period in the World Cup League 2 against Namibia and Nepal,"
"Having tracked their progress over the past few years, it will be great to work with the players, coaches and staff."
Botha represented South Africa in five Tests, 78 One Day Internationals and 40 T20 Internationals between 2005 and 2012, leading the Proteas in both limited-overs formats during his international career.
Since his retirement from the sport, he has held several coaching positions across franchise leagues around the world such as the Pakistan Super League, the Big Bash League, Major League Cricket, Carribean Premier League and also Queensland cricket in Australia.

KNCB High Performance Board member Sybrand Engelbrecht welcomed the appointment, highlighting Botha's wealth of coaching experience.
"We're very pleased to have Johan on board," Engelbrecht said.
"He is an extremely experienced coach, with stints in the PSL, CPL, MLC, Big Bash and Queensland cricket."
Botha joins at an important stage in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 competition, with the Netherlands, Namibia and Nepal each playing four matches in Utrecht.
The Netherlands are set to announce their squad for the League 2 tri-series shortly after 9 July.
