Fresh faces included in England's squad for India ODIs
James Coles receives his maiden ODI call-up as England unveil the squad for the three-match home series against India.
England have announced a 16-player squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India, beginning on July 14 at Edgbaston.
Uncapped all-rounder James Coles has earned his maiden ODI call-up after previously being included in England's T20I squad against India. Fast bowler Josh Tongue, who is yet to make his ODI debut, also retains his place after impressing in Test cricket, particularly during the Ashes in late 2025.
England squad: Harry Brook (c), Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, James Coles, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Josh Tongue.
The pace attack is further strengthened by the returns of Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood.
Harry Brook continues to lead the side alongside experienced names including Jos Buttler, Joe Root, Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer and Sam Curran.
England head into the series after a 2-1 ODI series victory over Sri Lanka in January, having bounced back after losing the opening match.
Zak Crawley, Brydon Carse, Jamie Overton and Luke Wood are the notable absentees from the squad.
The series gets underway at Edgbaston on July 14 before moving to Cardiff and concluding at Lord's.
