The Deutscher Cricket Bund (DCB) and the Deutsche Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (DCUSA) announce the first online auction of cricket memorabilia to support the tremendous efforts of the Diakonie Katastrophienhilfe charity in the tsunami ravaged areas of the Asian subcontinent. The Diakonie has been working among the worst hit regions including Indonesien Aceh and the coast of Sri Lanka, rebuilding houses and boats and providing much needed medical and psychological support for the decimated victims.

International Test scorer Bill Frindall MBE has very kindly donated one of his last original charts of Brian Lara's World Test record "400 not out" to be auctioned to raise money for this vital work.

The chart, originally commissioned by The Times of England, is one of a limited edition. Printed in full colour on A4 card, each of the 400 numbered prints is accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate. On offer is Nr. 144. The 215 lines (4 sixes, 1 five, 43 fours, 4 threes, 24 twos and 139 singles) are coloured to represent the damage inflicted upon England?s seven bowlers. The opening bid is 50 Euros. Overseas bids are welcome. Please send your bid, with name, address and, if possible, a telephone number by e-mail with the subject "Lara chart" to: bids@dcusa.de

All details will be treated with the highest confidentiality. Once overtaken, your bid details will be deleted from our file. If you wish to increase your bid, you must send a new mail. Please state clearly if you wish your name to remain anonymous.

Bids will be updated daily on the DCB and DCUSA forums.
