SAHARA PARK WILLOWMOORE MAIN OVAL
TANZANIA v GHANA
A 120-run against Tanzania ensured Ghana’s unbeaten run in the tournament continued. On the Main Oval of Sahara Park Willowmoore, Tanzania put league leaders Ghana in to bat.
Ghana lost Kelvin Marko Awala in third over of the day, but recovered and went on to post 194 all out in 49.1 overs. Alex Osei scored 35 of those runs off 85 balls, a knock comprising three fours. For Tanzania, Dhyey Prakash Shah, Hussein Seifuddin Mohamedali, Salman Kazim Nasser were among the wickets with two each.
Tanzania, yet to get off the mark, struggled to stitch together partnerships and was bowled out for 74 in the 29th over. The Ghana bowlers ran through the line-up, with only Arsalaan Premji posing them any threat during his 39-ball 22. Aziz Sualley was the highest wicket-taker with returns of 4 for 6 and victory was achieved with minimum fuss.

SAHARA PARK WILLOWMOORE “A” FIELD
ZAMBIA v RWANDA
An evenly-contested encounter went Zambia’s way as it won by three wickets against Rwanda. Over on field A at the Sahara Park Willowmoore, Zambia won the toss and sent Rwanda in to bat.
Rwanda, still searching for its first win, lost Jean Paul Komezumuheto for 17 in the second over. However, Orchide Tuyisenge’s solid 58-ball 42 – a knock comprising seven fours – and a fine half-century from Bosco Tuyizere (56 off 100), helped Rwanda post 147 in 38 overs, its highest score in the tournament so far. The pick of the Zambia bowlers was Vanish Patel, whose 5 for 33 stifled Rwanda
Zambia’s top-order struggled in its chase, losing wickets in as early as the first over, but managed to steady the innings and comfortably cross the line, ending at 148 for 7 in 45.4 overs. The star of the chase was Bethan Kasopa, who scored 44 off 98 balls, including two fours. With the ball, Bosco Tuyizere returned figures of 3 for 41 for Rwanda.
SAHARA PARK WILLOWMOORE ‘B’ FIELD
BOTSWANA v NIGERIA
Nigeria suffered its first loss of the tournament after Botswana hung on to secure a one-wicket win in a thriller. After winning the toss on the B field of Sahara Park Willowmoore, Nigeria chose to bat.
Taiwo Mohammed was dismissed 24, and the wicket had a telling effect on the rest of the innings, as Nigeria was all out for 101 in 39.3 overs, with Sylvester Okpe also contributing 23 runs. Losika Makgale was the pick among the Botswana bowlers, returning 3 for 23 runs in ten overs.
Despite facing a seemingly easy target, Botswana was made to fight hard for victory, and lost a wicket in the sixth over. Abimaan Bhargava scored 19 runs off 39 balls, a knock comprising two fours and a six, but with Okpe returning 3 for 32, the match went down to the wire. Botswana needed a run with just a wicket remaining, but it crossed the line and ended at 103 for 9 in 31.5 overs.
