Hong Kong wins ACC Women's Twenty20 Championship
Hong Kong beat Thailand by four runs to claim the ACC Women's Twenty20 Championship title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday.
The tense final came down to the last over with Thailand needing 10 runs to overhaul Hong Kong's 106 for 4.
The final six deliveries were entrusted to Ishitaa Gidwani, who held her nerve to bowl her side to victory.
The triumph delighted Hong Kong's coach, the former England international Aftab Habib. He said: "All the hard work by the team for the past four months has paid off."
Keenu Gill was named Player of the Match for top-scoring with 39 runs in Hong Kong's innings and picking up 2-17 with the ball.
The final was preceded by the 3rd/4th place play-off between Nepal and China which Nepal won comfortably by 73 runs, bowling China out for only 30 runs.
