The ICC Board will meet in Dubai on 19 and 20 April for the second of the four scheduled meetings it will hold this year.

Among the main items on the agenda are the following:

Nomination for ICC Vice-President

Australia and New Zealand have proposed that the Honourable John Howard AC be accepted as a nomination for the post of ICC Vice President from 2010-12 and therefore President from 2012 -14. The Executive Board will be invited to accept that nomination and then propose Mr Howard as the nominee to the ICC Annual Conference to be held in the last week of June 2010.

New Future Tours Programme 2012-2020 and Context for International Cricket

The Board will continue the discussion on the context and content of international cricket as well as hearing an update on the market research being carried out in conjunction with the ICC Chief Executives' Committee (CEC) working party comprising David Collier (England and Wales), Nishantha Ranatunga (Sri Lanka), N Srinivasan (India), James Sutherland (Australia) and David Richardson (ICC General Manager - Cricket). The Executive Board will also receive the first report on the work which has begun into the ICC's next strategic plan, 2011-15.

ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup 2012

The Executive Board will also consider an alternative venue for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2012 in the light Cricket Canada's decision to step down as host for the event after recognizing that it would be unable to bring the cricketing facilities up to required standards in time for such an important ICC event. Cricket Canada wrote to ICC earlier in April to advise the Board that they would be unable to stage the competition. Haroon Lorgat, ICC Chief Executive, said: 'We are grateful to Cricket Canada for making what we recognize will have been a very difficult decision but their realistic and responsible approach \allows ICC the time to find a suitable alternative venue.'

Task Team reports

The Executive Board will receive a report on the progress of the implementation of the Zimbabwe Task Team's 35 recommendations as well as updates from the Pakistan Task Team and the group considering a proposed move of ICC headquarters from Dubai to Lord's.
