ICC Chief Executives? Committee meeting to consider range of cricket issues in Dubai

The ICC Chief Executives' Committee (CEC) will meet at the new ICC office premises in Dubai Media City on 28-29 August.

The CEC will make decisions on a range of matters relating to the playing of cricket as well as making recommendations on the business of cricket for consideration by the ICC Board.

These recommendations will include proposals emanating from the ICC Scheduling Summit earlier in the week as well as consideration of the match schedule for next year's ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka; discussions on the role of Twenty20 cricket in the international arena and discussions relating to the potential ranking of non-Test playing countries.

The meeting will also be presented with progress reports on the Johnnie Walker Super Series and the ICC Awards 2005 presented by Hyundai in association with FICA, both of which will take place in Australia this October.

The CEC is chaired by ICC Chief Executive, Malcolm Speed, and attended by ICC President, Ehsan Mani, ICC Cricket Committee Chairman, Sunil Gavaskar, and ICC General Manager - Cricket, David Richardson.

The CEC meets three times a year. The recommendations of this meeting will be considered by the ICC Board which will meet in Sydney in October.
