ICC Dream 11 Classic Mode Round 4: Tips and tricks

After three rounds, you have a decent idea about what to expect from teams, pitches or players, but it is applying this knowledge to build the best team that needs work.

To help you, we bring some tips which you might want to run through before confirming your team for Round 4.

  • All teams play in this round, but Sri Lanka and Australia play twice each. They play each other in addition to Pakistan (for Australia) and Bangladesh (for Sri Lanka).
  • South Africa take on lower-ranked Afghanistan, but the Proteas' batting form has not been desirable.
  • England v West Indies and India v New Zealand are unpredictable fixtures, so you might want to stay away from making gambles for this game.
  • Bristol has seen a washout and Sri Lanka take on Bangladesh here, so it is best to avoid too many players from this match.

Sri Lanka play twice in this round, so their players are worth a pick

Based on above observations, we form our fantasy team for the round.

We have made five transfers, including removing Andre Russell, who missed the match against South Africa owing to injury.

With changes made from round 3, this is what our team looks like:

  • Steven Smith for David Warner

David Warner has shown glimpses of his greatness at this World Cup, but has yet to reach his usually lofty standards. Smith has looked in touch and looks set for a big knock. Australia have fixtures that will feel they can win against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, and Smith should be a must-pick.

  • Pat Cummins for Martin Guptill

The Australian seamer is a natural wicket-taker and has big fantasy potential against teams weak against the short ball. Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan have struggled on this front and Cummins is a fabulous choice for this match.

  • Jason Roy for Andre Russell

Roy smashed a 153 against Bangladesh and despite concerns over his ability to counter spin early on, has scored runs. West Indies, who England face in this round, are weak on the spin front, making Roy a great pick.

  • Kagiso Rabada for Matt Henry

Rabada has been South Africa's lone silver lining in this World Cup campaign. The fast bowler nearly rocked India early but was unlucky to have catches being dropped off his bowling. Against a less esteeemed batting unit like Afghanistan, expect Rabada to turn up at his best.

  • Mohammad Saifuddin for Andile Phehlukwayo

While Phehlukwayo is a good pick for the game against Afghanistan, we wanted to experiment with Saifuddin, an underrated player in this World Cup for Bangladesh. His mix of slower balls and yorkers have been a handful in the death overs and we expect him to trouble Sri Lanka.
