ICC EAP announce Tom Evans as new RDO

The International Cricket Council (ICC) East Asia - Pacific (EAP) Development Programme is pleased to announce Tom Evans as its Regional Development Officer to be based in the Melbourne office at Cricket Australia.

Evans has extensive experience in cricket, employed at Cricket Victoria for the past three years, most recently working as a Regional Cricket Manager for the Inner East Metro area.

Evans already has some experience in the East Asia - Pacific region, having travelled to Japan in 2009 as part of the State Province Partnership Agreement between ICC EAP, Cricket Victoria, Japan Cricket Association and Korea Cricket Association.

"I am certainly looking forward to continuing the considerable growth and development within the East Asia - Pacific region, particularly building relationships with all EAP Member Countries", said Evans.

Newly-appointed ICC EAP Regional Development Manager Andrew Faichney added: "Tom has the enthusiasm and drive to have an immediate and long lasting impact on all 10 EAP Member countries."

"Tom will play an important part in the continued sustainable development of all cricket related activities, including taking charge of the EAP team that will play in the 2011 Australia Country Cricket Championships", said Faichney.

Evans replaces Charlie Burke in the Regional Development Officer role, following Burke?s appointment as national coach of the Hong Kong national team, and will be starting on 31 May 2010.
