The ICC East Asia-Pacific Region has announced the eight people that have been selected to attending a leading coaching programme later this year.

The EAP Advanced Coaching and Development Seminar, which will take place in New Zealand, has been scheduled for 12-16 October and is an important activity in the development of coaches/course presenters within the region.

This will be the sixth time the seminar has been held following on from those held in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008. The seminar is a key component in the process to achieve sustainable cricket education within the EAP region and as such will incorporate the ICC Level 1 coaching Cricket Instructors Course.

The seminar provides participants with the opportunity to learn from each other, access leading Australian/New Zealand coaches and acquire the skills and knowledge to significantly impact the development of cricket within EAP member countries.

Among those that will be providing guidance for the attendees will be Hamish Barton, the former Argentina captain and first-class player, who now works at New Zealand Cricket as the National Coach Education Manager.
