ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Final - Media Accreditation
London, 12 July 2019
Dear Accredited Media,
Now we know both finalists, the Cricket World Cup Media Operations team is working through the media accreditation list for Lord’s this Sunday.
As such I would ask you to refrain from contacting the ICC Media Team or Cricket World Cup Media Operations teamto ask for approval to attend the Final. We have been inundated with messages over the last 24hrs and we are unable to reply to everyone.
We received 366 applications for 237 spaces (including an extended Overflow), so inevitably not everyone will be successful in their application.
Decisions will start to appear on accounts this evening. These allocations are final and the Media Operations team will notengage in correspondence surrounding unsuccessful applications.
You can be view your status by logging on at: https://accreditation.cwc19.co.uk/registration/medialogin.aspx
Attendance to all matches has been determined in accordance with the ICC quotas, priority orders and in consideration of the teams playing.
Please also note, after the conclusion of media activity on Saturday 13 July ALL accreditations will be switched off, only successful applicants will have accreditations reactivated for the final.
It is not possible to use your accreditation as a “Ground Pass” to gain entry to the final, and even if you enter on a Ticket you will not be successful in entering the media areas, as scanners will also be in place at these entrances.
Security and Health and Safety restrictions designate a maximum occupancy within the ground (which includes staff, ticket holders, stewards, media, etc) and Press Box (which will be full to capacity). Therefore, anyoneattempting to enter the ground without an activated accreditation will be refused entry, with further sanctionspossible.
We are doing our very best to get as many media to the final as possible, so please be patient with the team.
Kind regards
Jamie Fox
