ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2022 media accreditation now open

The online process that can be completed here, is only for written press, photographers, non-rights holding (NRH) TV and radio broadcasters. Those who have covered one of the following ICC events will be eligible for media accreditation:

  1. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019

If you have not attended one of the above or if you have only covered home internationals or other ICC events but believe your circumstances warrant media accreditation, then please apply and the ICC will give due consideration to your request.

Members of media will have until 17h00 Dubai time (GMT +4) on 7 December 2021, to register for accreditation. As part of the process, the media will need to upload the following documents:

  • A colour headshot photograph with a plain background (like a passport photo) (.jpg file, maximum 2 MB in size)
  • Scanned copy of the photo page of valid passport/ National ID (.pdf file, maximum 2 MB in size)
  • Letter of approval/assignment from the editor on official letterhead (.pdf file, maximum 2 MB in size)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • You will also be asked to select the matches you intend to cover, at this stage it will be for group matches only, selection for the latter stages of the tournament will be open during the event. For information on how to do this please read the FAQs.

The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

In order to attend the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2022 you must apply for this accreditation pass, no other accreditation will permit entry to any of the venues.

We are committed to keeping all participants in the event safe, and as such, the ICC Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) has recommended that all accredited media be fully vaccinated with respect to COVID-19 as a condition of attending, a recommendation endorsed by our hosts.

It should also be borne in mind that there is a possibility that the host countries and/or ports of departure and return may also require travellers to be fully vaccinated.

There may be some travel restrictions in place in the West Indies during the tournament period. Media applying for accreditation are responsible for undergoing any mandatory quarantine and obtaining any relevant visas or work permits as required, and bear the costs associated with any of these.

The media is advised to carefully read the Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions and refer to the FAQs document to avoid inconvenience.

KEY DATES:

25 November - ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup accreditation opens. Media will be apply for a tournament pass and make group match choices

7 December - ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup accreditation closes

11 December – Media to receive email or log on to the portal to check whether accreditation has been approved

27-31 December – Media accreditation portal to reopen for approved media to check and confirm match choices for the group stage

5 January - Media to log on to the portal to check which group match choices have been approved

21-23 January - Media Accreditation Portal to reopen for approved media to select and confirm match choices for the Super League and Plate stages

24 January - Media to log on to the portal to check which Super League and Plate stage match choices have been approved

29 -30 January - Media Accreditation Portal to reopen for approved media to select and confirm match choices for Semi-finals and the Final

31 January – Media to be emailed to confirm whether a spot has been confirmed for the semi-finals

3 February - Media to be emailed to confirm whether a spot has been confirmed for the Final
