ICC Women’s Player of the Month August 2025 nominees named
Two in-form all-rounders and a dashing wicket-keeper-batter are in the race for monthly honours in August.
Orla Prendergast (Ireland)
The Ireland all-rounder continued her rich vein of form in the T20I series against Pakistan and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier.
Prendergast starred with both bat and ball in Ireland’s 2-1 series win against Pakistan. The 23-year-old was the leading run-getter in the series, amassing 144 runs from three innings, which included two half-centuries.
She was also Ireland’s highest wicket-taker, snapping four dismissals from the three outings and was adjudged the Player of the Series.
Following up on her performances in the bilateral series, Prendergast added another 100 runs and three wickets to her account from the five T20Is in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier.
Iris Zwilling (Netherlands)
Emerging as a star performer as the Netherlands won four off their six matches at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was Iris Zwilling.
The all-rounder fired on all cylinders with ball in hand, finishing as the joint-leading wicket-taker after the six games - nabbing 10 dismissals to her name, boasting an economy of 4.65.
Her standout performances came in the wins against Germany and Italy, when she finished with bowling figures of 3/14 and 3/6 respectively.
Zwilling was also a handful with the bat, as she contributed 39 runs to her team’s cause, striking at a rate of 121.87 in the lower-middle order.

Muneeba Ali (Pakistan)
Pakistan’s seasoned wicket-keeper-batter created history with her innings against Ireland during the T20I series.
Muneeba got into the record books when she scored her second T20I century, also the second by a Pakistan batter in Women’s T20Is.
The Pakistan opener delivered a masterclass with the bat in the third T20I against Ireland, amassing 100 off 68 deliveries, an innings composed of 14 fours and a six.
She ended up only behind Prendergast in the run-scoring charts during the T20I series, averaging a hefty 66. Coincidentally, her maiden T20I century had also come up against Ireland at the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
