ICC Women’s Player of the Month for March 2026 announced
New Zealand skipper Melie Kerr wins ICC Women’s Player of the Month for the third time after an outstanding series against Zimbabwe and South Africa.
White Ferns all-rounder Melie Kerr has capped off a sensational March in the international game with the ICC Women's Player of the Month award.
Taking over the white-ball teams from Sophie Devine, Kerr’s captaincy seemed to have brought out the best in her with both the ball and the bat. In the Zimbabwe ODI series, she managed to snap 16 wickets in just three matches, including her career-best figures of 7/34.
Additionally, she also contributed with the bat, being the third highest run-scorer in the ODIs, scoring 140 runs across three games with an average of 46.67 in the counting month.
Kerr carried her outstanding all-round form into the T20Is against South Africa, playing a central role in the White Ferns’ 4-1 series win. She piled up 276 runs, extending a record-breaking streak of 11 consecutive 30+ scores in the format. Her remarkable run also saw her crowned as the No.1 ICC Women’s T20I all-rounder.
The all-rounder reflected on the accolade, outling the impact her contributions made in New Zealand's collective effort in a successful home stand.
"It’s been a special month for the White Ferns," Kerr began.
"It’s always nice to be able to contribute to wins for your country but seeing the way the whole team has played, the selflessness and the belief is what has been the highlight for me this past month."
Kerr’s contributions, both as a captain and as an all-rounder, will prove pivotal in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England from June 12 as New Zealand gear up to defend the title.
