ICC Women’s Player of the Month nominees for June 2026 announced

Three players who played a starring role for their team in the recently-concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 have made it to the shortlist for June.

Kathryn Bryce (Scotland)

The Scotland skipper enjoyed an outstanding month with bat and ball, scoring 178 runs in seven T20Is at an average of 25.42 and a strike rate of 140.15, while also claiming 11 wickets at an average of 15.81 and an economy rate of 7.10.

Bryce was instrumental in Scotland's home tri-series triumph over Bangladesh and the Netherlands, just ahead of the T20 World Cup.

She carried that form into the T20 World Cup, leading from the front with a commanding 60 against Ireland in Scotland's opening match while continuing to make key breakthroughs with the ball throughout the tournament.

Kathryn Bryce led from the front with bat and ball for Scotland to help them script a historic win over Ireland at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

Sree Charani (India)

India spinner Sree Charani earned her nomination after finishing the T20 World Cup as the tournament's leading wicket-taker.

The left-armer collected 14 wickets in six T20Is at an average of 11.00 and an economy rate of just 6.69. 

Her tournament-defining performances included figures of 3/21 against Pakistan, 4/19 against the Netherlands and 3/24 against South Africa, playing a pivotal role as India’s campaign was cut short in the group stages.

The spinner picked up at least two wickets in all five of India’s group-stage encounters.

India's Sree Charani bowled a superb spell of 4/19 against Netherlands at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge (England)

England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge enjoyed a prolific month at the top of the order, amassing 287 runs in six T20Is at an outstanding average of 71.75 and a strike rate of 151.85.

Her month was highlighted by a superb unbeaten 105 against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, which also helped England post the tournament’s joint-highest score of 219.

She ended up as the leading run scorer in the competition after producing a series of match-winning innings, that also included a 65 against the West Indies and an unbeaten 89 against then defending champions New Zealand to knock them out.

She also became the first woman to breach the 300-run mark in the marquee ICC Women’s event, ending up with 302 runs.
