ICC Women's Player of the Month nominees for May announced
Two outstanding batters and a star pacer have been shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for May 2026.
Gull Feroza (Pakistan)
Gull Feroza was in sensational form for Pakistan during their ODI series against Zimbabwe. The right-handed opener amassed 256 runs in three ODIs at a remarkable average of 128.00 and a strike rate of 103.64.
After beginning the series with a well-compiled half-century, Feroza elevated her performances in the remaining two matches, scoring 100 and an unbeaten 106 to help Pakistan complete a 3-0 series sweep. Her outstanding contributions earned her the Player of the Series award.
Feroza also impressed in the T20Is, scoring 82 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 157.69. Her most impactful innings included a blistering 37 from 19 balls against Zimbabwe and a rapid 32 from just 15 deliveries against Ireland.

Lauren Bell (England)
Lauren Bell was in top form for England across formats. The fast bowler finished as the leading wicket-taker in England's ODI series against New Zealand, returning figures of 2/38 in the opening ODI before claiming 3/20 in the third match. In the two games, Bell picked up five wickets at an average of 13.40 and an economy rate of 4.36.
Bell carried that form into the subsequent T20I series against New Zealand and India. In four T20Is, she claimed eight wickets at an average of 14 and an economy rate of 7.00.
Her standout performances included figures of 2/23 in the opening T20I against New Zealand and 3/34 in the first T20I against India at Chelmsford, underlining her importance to England's bowling attack heading into the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Maddy Green (New Zealand)
Maddy Green enjoyed an impressive tour of England, producing consistent performances across both formats for New Zealand. In the ODI series, Green scored 125 runs at an average of 62.50 and a strike rate of 83.33 across two innings.
She anchored the innings with a vital 88 from 107 balls in the opening ODI before adding a brisk 37 from 43 deliveries in the third match. Her contributions earned her the Player of the Series award.
Green carried that form into the T20I leg of the tour, where she scored 93 runs at an average of 46.50 and a strike rate of 98.93 across three matches. Her standout performance came in the second T20I, where she notched up a half-century, an unbeaten 48 ball 56.
