ICC Women’s Player of the Month September 2025 nominees named
Three high-class batters from India, Pakistan and South Africa have been nominated for monthly honours following some magnificent individual knocks during the month of September.
Smriti Mandhana (India)
Smriti Mandhana continued her stellar run in ODIs for the calendar year, earning the Player of the Series award against Australia in September, despite the Aussies' triumph over India in the three-game series.
The left-hander piled up 308 runs in four ODIs in September at an average of 77 and a strike rate of 135.68.
Her scores of 58, 117 and 125 against Australia showcased her class. Despite a defeat in the first game, Mandhana’s century in the following contest helped India level the series as they claimed their first win over Australia on home since 2007.
India lost the decider but Mandhana’s century in the third match came off just 50 balls, the fastest in women’s ODI history by an Indian and the second quickest overall behind Australia's Meg Lanning.
