TANZANIA vs UGANDA
The big surprise of this tournament Tanzania shocked Uganda by defeating them in the t20 fixture that was scheduled for today. Tanzania won the toss and decided to bat In their allotted 20 overs. The Tanzanians posted a score of 84 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Top scorer was F Kibasu who scored an unbeaten 40 runs off 56 balls. The best bowler for Uganda was R Musamali who took 1 wicket for 11 runs in 4 overs.
The Ugandans then occupied the crease and only managed to score 80 runs in 20 overs with 9 wickets down. Top scorer for the Ugandans was R Musamali who scored 21 off 23 balls thus giving Tanzania their first win of the tournament
ZIMBABWE vs KENYA
Both having won their first two matches the hosts and Kenya stepped out for battle of the top spot on the second morning. This was termed as the battle of the titans. Kenya won the toss and sent Zimbabwe to bat. Captain C Mugeri starred in two vital partnerships of 46 and 37 to guide her team to 147 in their 20 overs. She was the top scorer with 46 runs off 39 balls. V Ooko rocked the Zimbabwe middle order as she was the peak of the bunch with figures of 3 wickets for 17 runs in her 4 overs.
Kenya openers strolled out to chase but their innings never got going thanks to some disciplined bowling from Zimbabwe bowlers led by the all round C Mugeri who took 2 for 12 runs in her 4 overs. M Ngoche provided some resistance with a hard fought 26 runs from 42 balls despite wickets falling around her. Kenya eventually were restricted to 97 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs falling short by 50 runs. Zimbabwe recorder their third unbeaten game in this tournament

AFTERNOON MATCH

TANZANIA vs ZIMBABWE
After their victory against Uganda, Tanzania won the toss and elected to bat in the afternoon match against Zimbabwe. The Tanzanians posted a score of 67 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Top scorer for Tanzania was F Kibasu who scored 23 runs off 49 deliveries. Top wicket taker for Zimbabwe was L Tshuma who took 2 for 13 runs in 4 overs. Zimbabwe had little difficulty in chasing the score and posted 68 for one wicket in 8.1 overs. Best batter was M Mupachikwa who posted an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls. Hence giving Zimbabwe their fourth victory of the tournament
KENYA V UGANDA
Battle of East Africa was rekindled once again on the second day as Uganda won the toss and elect to against Kenya. A solid opening stand of 71 runs from the Ugandans paved way for what looked like a huge total for Uganda. Opener N Nalule top scored with 33 from 53 balls. D Njoroge was pick of the bowlers with 2 for 20 runs in her 4 overs. Kenya pulled back things by dismissing both openers and bowled tight lines to restrict Uganda to 114 runs in 20 overs.
Uganda was all out for revenge for their first earlier loss to Kenya when they pegged back Kenya as early as the second over when they lost their first wicket. Kenya went on to lose their next five wickets for 19 runs inside 8 overs. Chief destroyer was C Mamugenji with 2 for 9 runs in her 4 overs helping Uganda win comfortably by 53 runs.

After four games, Zimbabwe Women head the table, having won all their games so far. With 12 points, they have twice as many as Kenya, who are second, having won and lost two each. Uganda’s victory over Kenya helped them to their first points, and are third on table, ahead of Tanzania on net run-rate.
