Important information about ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-finals and final media accreditation
The ICC has started the process of match-day accreditation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals and final.
The media accreditation portal has been reopened and you are now able to register your interest for the semi-finals and final. You will have until Sunday 6 November at 23h59 AEDT to select the semi-final matches and until 11 November at 11h00am AEDT to express interest in the final, when the portal will be closed.
How to apply
- Please logon to the media accreditation portal here.
- Please submit your match selections in the portal as accurately as possible.
- If you no longer want to be considered for a match you have selected, please logon to the portal and remove the match from your choices or please email media.accreditation@t20worldcup.au.comif you are unable to complete it online.
Timelines
- To find out if you have been successful and received match-day accreditation for the semi-finals or final, please logon to the media accreditation portal to see the status of your match.
- The match day accreditation confirmations are expected to be finalised by the following times:
- 9 November, Semi-Final 1 in Sydney expected to be finalised by 7 November at 19h00 AEDT
- 10 November, Semi-Final 2 in Adelaide expected to be finalised by 8 November at 19h00 AEDT
- 13 November, Final in Melbourne expected to be finalised by 11 November at 21h00 AEDT
Semi-Final allocations
9 November - Semi-Final 1 – Sydney Cricket Ground at 19h00 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)
10 November – Semi-Final 2 – Adelaide Oval at 19h00 (Australian Central Daylight Time)
13 November – Final – Melbourne Cricket Ground at 19h00 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)
Semi-Final 1 in Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday 9 November will feature the winner of Group 1 against the runner-up in Group 2. Semi-Final 2 will be the winner of Group 2 versus the runner-up of Group 1 and will be played at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Thursday 10 November.
However, if Australia qualify for the semi-finals their match will be played in Sydney with the other played in Adelaide.
Please note that applying for matches does not guarantee you match-day accreditation. The match-day lists will be finalized acknowledging the participating teams in the matches and preference will be given to media from those countries. Media that don’t get match-day accreditation are still able to cover match day-1 as long as they have ICC Men’s T20 World Cup media accreditation.
Accredited media who have attended tournament matches regularly will be given preference, only those already accredited for the tournament will be allowed to apply.
