Imran Nazir inspires comfortable win
Pakistan comfortably won the opening T20 match of its series against New Zealand by 49 runs on Thursday in Dubai.
Imran Nazir smashed a brilliant 58 from just 38 balls to help Pakistan to 161-8, with Tim Southee (3-28) and Shane Bond (2-17) the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, New Zealand quickly slipped to 41-4 and with no player going on to make more than 22, it slipped to a disappointing defeat against a good all-round bowling side.
The final game of the T20 series is on Friday.
