India pacer ruled out of ODI series against New Zealand
India will miss the services of fast bowler Prasidh Krishna for the ODI series in New Zealand beginning on 4 November.
Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of India’s five-match ODI series against New Zealand after being unable to secure a fitness clearance.
The right-arm pacer, who was named in the initial squad but whose participation was subject to fitness, is recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during India’s tour of England and will need additional time to build up the workload required to return to competitive action.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will remain with the India squad for the first ODI against New Zealand, scheduled to be played on 4 November in Auckland.
Following the match, Reddy will join the India A squad, which will provide him with valuable match practice ahead of the two-match ICC World Test Championship series against New Zealand, which begins on 19 November 2026.
Mohammed Siraj too will join the India A squad for the second four-day game in preparation for the Test series.
