India reveal strong squad for Asian Games title defence
Changes minimal from the T20 World Cup as India announce their squad for the Asian Games
Experienced skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will remain as captain as India named a strong squad for the upcoming Asian Games.
The tournament will be held in Japan in September and India will attempt to defend the title they won in China back in 2022.

Harmanpreet will lead India throughout the tournament, with star batter Smriti Mandhana named as her deputy in a squad that largely resembles the playing group that were knocked out of the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup during the group stage.
The only change to the India squad sees G. Kamalini named in the 15-player group, with fellow keeper Yastika Bhatia dropping out.

All-rounder Shreyanka Patil is also included in the squad, though the young star will need to prove her fitness prior to the tournament after she hurt her ankle during the T20 World Cup.
