India?s women team announced for England tour
A 17-member Indian women’s squad for the England tour has been announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after a meeting of the All India Women's Selection Committee held on Wednesday at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
Mithali Raj will be leading the team during the tour slated to start from August 26 to September 9.
India will be playing five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match during the tour, the BCCI said in a statement. The first ODI will take place on August 30 at Bath.
India had lost to England during the last tour in 2006. However, just a year before that in 2005 India had won the series as hosts.
