Ireland v Australia selling fast

Cricket Ireland this morning announced that tickets for the eagerly anticipated One Day International clash with Australia were selling fast, and the tie was very close to be sold out.

The game at Clontarf on June 17 is Cricket Ireland's most high profile fixture this summer and has atttracted significant interest from the Irish cricketing public.

Australia have named their squad for the game, with Ricky Ponting captaining the side, which contains such household names as Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey, Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson.

A Cricket Ireland spokesperson said: "We would urge fans intending to attend the game to purchase their tickets as soon as possible on www.ticketmaster.ie as the event is close to being completely sold out.

"Both the Corporate Hospitality and Cricket Ireland members areas sold out last week, and the remaining general area tickets are selling fast. We would hate any Irish cricket fans to miss out on this wonderful opportunity to see the world champions in action."
