Javed stars in UAE win over Afghanistan

United Arab Emirates (UAE) staged a big upset in the ACC Twenty20 Cup on the fifth day of the tournament on Saturday.
UAE beat Afghanistan by six wickets in a Group B match.
Batting first Afghanistan posted 143 for eight in its 20 overs thanks to Mohammad Nabi's 72.
In its response, UAE chased down the target to end at 146 for four in 19.2 overs. The star of the UAE win was Amjad Javed who picked three for nine.
With the bat, Swapnil Patil remained unbeaten on 34 to fashion a famous win.
In the Goup B match, Oman beat Bahrain by six wickets. Bahrain, batting first, was shot out for just 93 in 17.4 overs and in response Oman made 96 for four in 14.4 overs.
In Group A, Hong Kong beat Singapore by 39 runs. Hong Kong posted an impressive 198 for three in 20 overs and in response Singapore could muster just 159 for eight in its allotted overs.
Host Nepal beat Malaysia by 19 runs in another Group A match. Nepal batting first posted 163 for eight in its 20 overs thanks to skipper Paras Khadka's 87. In response Malaysia was restricted to 144 for nine in its 20 overs.
