Jersey got its Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 5 campaign back on track with a comprehensive nine-wicket win over Fiji on Sunday.

Fiji collapsed from 101-4 to 122 all out with a series of over exuberant batting shots which illustrated its inexperience in ICC global tournaments.

Mat Hague (2-26) and Ryan Driver (2-33) had earlier bowled excellent opening spells, without much reward, while young spinner Ben Stevens took 2-11.

In reply, Dean Morrison achieved his second successive half century, as he made 52 off 55 balls in an excellent opening stand of 108 runs with Mat Hague (52 not out).

Jersey coasted to its target with 29.3 overs remaining and now faces a huge match against the USA, who it beat in Division 5 in 2008, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Fiji has now lost both its opening games and is facing a relegation battle to stay in Division 5.
