Josh Richards to lead South Africa at U19 CWC

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced its 15-member squad for the Triangular U19 series between India and Sri Lanka this month, and the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010 in New Zealand in January.
The team, led by Josh Richards, is pitted against Australia, Ireland and the USA in Group B of the ICC U19 CWC 2010 and will play its opening match against Ireland on 15 January in Queenstown. South Africa were runners-up in the 2008 event in Malaysia losing to India in the final by 12 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method.
U19 Convenor of Selectors, Shafiek Abrahams, said on CSA website: ?The process of identifying these youngsters started almost 18 months ago, with CSA?s U19 programme which includes the Cubs Week, Regional and National Talent camps, the Coke week and the U19 Series. I am very excited with the squad that we have selected and I am confident that it will do the country proud.?
