Key pacer returns as New Zealand name squad for West Indies
Experienced seamer Jacob Duffy has been named to make his return to international cricket during this month's five-match ODI series against the West Indies.
Duffy hasn't featured at international level since the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at the start of the year, with the right-armer enjoying some time off after welcoming his first child recently.

A big round of applause around as New Zealand walk up to receive their runners-up medals after a memorable ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 run.
The inclusion of Duffy highlights a strong 16-player squad for the five ODI contests in the West Indies that commences on July 11, with veteran all-rounder Mitchell Santner to lead the side across the Caribbean tour.
Fast bowler Matthew Fisher is also included in the squad and could be in contention for his ODI debut, while fellow quicks Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, and Will O’Rourke will miss the series as they manage their workload.

Blair Tickner (ankle surgery) and Devon Conway (family reasons) will also miss the series, while all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has been granted time off so he can take part in the Major League Cricket event.
New Zealand coach Rob Walter is looking forward to preparing the side ahead of next year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia and is keen to see what Duffy and Fisher can provide upon their inclusion in the squad.
“It’s great to have Jacob and Matt joining the group and I know they’ll bring a lot of energy and excitement,” he said.
“It’s a nice opportunity to introduce Matt to the ODI group for the first time. He bowls with good pace and has been working hard on his variations to ensure he can bowl at different stages of the innings.
“Jacob has been a stand-out for us in all formats for the past couple of years. His skills and experience will be a great addition to our squad and I know he’s looking forward to representing New Zealand again.”
