Key quick out as West Indies name Test squad for Pakistan
Alzarri Joseph to miss the Test series against Pakistan for personal reasons, with uncapped spinner Joshua Bishop called up by the West Indies.
Pace spearhead Alzarri Joseph is a notable omission as the West Indies named their squad for their upcoming two-match ICC World Test Championship series at home against Pakistan.
Joseph has been one of the West Indies best performers with the ball this World Test Championship cycle, but the right-armer will skip the two-game series that commences in Trinidad on Saturday due to personal reasons.
A lookback at Sir Garfield Sobers historic feat
His absence paves the way for left-arm spinner Joshua Bishop to receive a call-up to the West Indies' 15-player squad after the 26-year-old impressed recently at domestic level, while top-order batter Kirk McKenzie also earns a recall following some strong efforts for Jamaica at first-class level.
Skipper Roston Chase will once again lead the side during the series alongside vice-captain Jomel Warrican, with fast bowler Anderson Phillip losing his place in the squad after he played the most recent Test for the West Indies against Sri Lanka.

The West Indies drew that match in Antigua to ensure they registered a 1-0 series triumph over Sri Lanka, with the Caribbean side rising to eighth place on the World Test Championship standings as a result.
