West Indies team made it to the final beating Netherlands by 99 runs in the final Group A encounter at the North-West University No 1 Ground.

Netherlands had begun promisingly when seamers Mariska Kornet and Denise Hannema struck early to reduce West Indies to 35 for 2. Tremayne Smartt (62:42b) and Stacy-Ann King (81: 47b, 12x4) added 124 runs in 12 overs to set up West Indies' huge total.

In its chase, Netherlands were tripped by off-spinner Anisa Mohammed (2-11) as it was dismissed for a mere 92.

In the final Group B match, Pakistan beat Ireland by five runs off the last ball. Pakistan, batting first made a mere 111 and in reply its bowlers defended the total very well at the North-West University No 2 Ground.

Kim Garth and Laura Delany followed up their spells with the ball to put up a 39-run stand after Pakistan off-spinner Nida Dar played a part in reducing Ireland to 65 for five.

Earlier, Nain Abidi and Javeria Khan added 58 runs to take Pakistan for 73 for one in 12 overs. But a middle-order collapse meant Pakistan could not capitalise on the fine start.
