Kishan hails record-setting India performance

Ishan Kishan, the India captain, was understandably elated after the win and had words of praise for his lads. "Yeah, I know it’s been a new record in cricket history, we are very proud of this," he said after the match. "We hope to repeat this and break our record in the next game. We did very well today, everybody did their job perfectly."
Kishan himself had a huge part to play in India's batting performance, smashing 138 off 86 balls, including 16 boundaries and seven hits over the fence, before he retired out to give the rest a hit. Kishan was pleased with his performance and there was also the expected reference to Rahul Dravid, the India Under-19 coach.
"My coach told me that I am a good batsman and [to] trust myself, and that I just have to play according to the merit of the ball. That’s what I was doing, I was just thinking of a single ball at a time. It went good for me."

While the batsmen were spectacular, the bowlers did a fine job of not easing the pressure, despite having the luxury of big runs under the belt. India's bowlers hunted in a pack to dismiss Canada for 113 in 31.1 overs to complete a perfect day on the field.
"Our performance was very good," said Kishan. "The bowling unit did very well and the batting was superb today, so I hope we just perform and keep the right process going in the other matches. If we play like this in more matches, I hope we will win this World Cup."
