Klazinga unlikely hero with the bat

Fast bowler Louis Klazinga was the unlikely hero with the bat as Namibia XI sealed a dramatic one-wicket win over a Uganda XI in the second and final limited-overs match. At the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek, Klazinga slammed two sixes in the final over to help script a successful chase of Uganda XI's target of 257 for eight by just one wicket.

Uganda XI were on course to surprise the home team when left-arm pace bowler Charles Waiswa had removed Willem Groenewald to leave Namibia XI's last wicket with a target of 18 off 11 balls. But Klazinga used his long handle to good effect to seal a 2-0 series win with two balls to spare. Namibia XI's chase was fashioned by opener Ewaid Steenkamp's 84 (105b, 8x4, 1x6) and skipper Craig Williams (58: 38b, 3x4, 3x6).

Earlier, Uganda XI batting first made 257 for eight thanks to Benjamin Musoke's 79 off 103 balls with ten boundaries. Frank Nsubuga made 55 off 65 balls (8x4, 2x6) and added 101 runs for the fifth wicket with Musoke. Namibia XI skipper Williams was a star with the ball as well taking 3-31 in his allotted 10 overs.

For Uganda XI one last chance to salvage the tour comes in the form of a twenty20 game against the hosts on Sunday.
