1.00pm - The UAE is the first winner today at the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier after a comprehensive 42-run win over Canada. Video highlights of the UAE innings are available in the video section.
There is plenty of support for Afghanistan from across the world for the vital match, which is currently in play, against the USA.
Waleed Safi writes from Kabul: "Once again friends are gathered , this time in the office of Afghan Social Aide Foundation, at Kabul Medical University, and waiting anxiously to follow the Match between Afghanistan and USA live on the ICC website. This match is very important for Afghanistan in order to qualify for the next stage and we are praying for the success of Afghanistan. Our favourite players are Mohammad Nabi and our favourite bowler is Hamid Hassan. We are sure they will play well and help Afghanistan qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 World Cup."

It promises to be a thrilling day of cricket, with six teams still in contention to join the UAE in the Super Four stages of the competition.
There will be lots of interest in the USA-Afghanistan, but as Hamid Hassan says: "There is a lot of attention ahead of our match against the USA and it seems that everybody wants to talk to me about the game and what it will be like to play them. For us, it is just another cricket match and one more step towards qualifying for the World Twenty20."
