Kaur, the regular T20I captain for India, has been ruled out of the series with an ankle injury and will be temporarily replaced in the role by the 22-year old Mandhana.

Elsewhere, experienced middle-order batter Veda Krishnamurthy has been named in the 15-person squad after missing India's recent series against New Zealand.

Bharati Fulmali and Komal Zanzad, who are both uncapped, are included in the squad and are in contention to debut in the three match series that commences on Monday, 4th March. Zanzad's inclusion comes after her impressive performance against England in a tour match where she took 3/14 from her seven overs and dismissed a trio of England stars in Tammy Beaumont, Nat Sciver and Sarah Taylor.
