Media accreditation advisory for Semifinals and Final
We hope you have enjoyed covering the Round 1 and Super 12 matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
We have now begun the process of match-day accreditation for the semifinals in Abu Dhabi (10 November) and Dubai (11 November) as well as the final in Dubai on 14 November.
For this, you need to log on to the media accreditation portal here and select matches you intend to cover. The portal will remain open until 22h00 local time on 8 November. The match-day lists are expected to be finalised by 14h00 on 9 November for the semifinals and by 14h00 on 12 November for the final.
Please note that applying for matches does not guarantee you match-day accreditation. The match-day lists will be drawn up keeping in mind the participating teams and preference will be given to media from those countries.
In addition, a strict priority order will be enforced for seats in the press box and photo positions as outlined in the FAQs document, which is available in the Resources section of the Online Media Zone.
Accredited media who have attended tournament matches regularly will be given preference over others who are also accredited but have missed matches without informing us or have only opted to cover select matches. Only those already accredited for the tournament will be allowed to apply.
Semifinal lineup:
The team placed first in Group 1 will play the team placed second in Group 2 in Semi Final 1 – Abu Dhabi, 10 November. The team placed first in Group 2 will play the team placed second in Group 1 in Semi Final 2 – Dubai, 11 November. If host country India qualify for the semi-finals, they will play in Semi Final 2 in Dubai.
