Media accreditation for ICC U19 Cricket World Cup now open

The media accreditation process for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020, to be played in South Africa, is now open. Applications will be accepted until 6 December 2019.

The World Cup, which involves Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, India, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, West Indies and Zimbabwe, will be held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020.

Tournament matches will be played at Willowmoore Park (Benoni), Mangaung Oval (Bloemfontein), Diamond Oval, Country Club B Field (Kimberly) and JB Marks Oval, Ibbies Oval, North West University Oval and Witrand Oval (Potchefstroom). The complete schedule is available here.

The application for media accreditation is a one-step process, click here to begin the media accreditation application process. The individual applying will need to provide the following to be able to complete the process as per the guidelines:

APPLICATION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

a. Application details: Full name, Name of Organisation, Role (Reporter, Photographer, etc.)
b. Upload clear headshot photograph (like passport photo) in jpeg format (file size not exceeding 4MB)
c. Upload scanned passport copy or South African ID Document in jpeg or pdf format (file size not exceeding 4MB)
d. Upload letter from respective media agency on letterhead in jpeg or pdf format (file size not exceeding 4MB)

Members of media will have until 17h00 Dubai time (GMT +4) on 6 December 2019, to apply for accreditation. The media is strongly advised to carefully read the Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions, and also refer to the FAQs document to assist with the accreditation application process.

The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION COLLECTION

The primary collection point for media accreditation will be the Cricket South Africa Headquarters in Johannesburg. If you are able to collect it from there, please skip the ‘Accreditation Collection Point’ field on the online form.

If you are unable to collect it from CSA HQ please select one of the other match venues. Please note you will only be able to collect your accreditation from the location you have requested. For more information on this please refer to the FAQs document.
