The media accreditation process for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa is open. This is an online process that can be completed by clicking here and is only for written press, photographers, non-rights holding (NRH) TV and radio broadcasters.

Those who have covered one of the following ICC Events will be eligible for media accreditation to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023:

  1. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022
  2. ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022
  3. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021
  4. ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020

If you have not attended one of the above but have covered other ICC tournaments or other home internationals and believe your circumstances warrant media accreditation, then please apply and the ICC will give due consideration to your request.

Members of media will have until 17h00 Dubai time (GMT +4) on 30 November 2022, to register for accreditation. As part of the process, the media will need to upload the following documents and, therefore, the ICC advises applicants to have these prepared in soft copy as you will not be able to submit the application form without them.

  1. A colour headshot photograph with a plain background (like a passport photo) – jpeg or png file (1-2MB)
  2. Letter of approval/assignment from your Editor/Commissioning Editor – pdf or jpeg file
  3. Passport/National ID/Driving License
  4. Details and proof of anti-COVID vaccine pdf or jpeg
  1. You will also be asked to select matches that you intend to cover

The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

Whilst selecting matches, the media is advised to bear in mind the following:

  • Your tournament pass doesn’t guarantee you a space in the media working area on a match day. Match day accreditation lists will be prepared as per the ICC review process. Please refer to the FAQs document to read more about the process.
  • Match notifications will begin in due course and will be published on the online portal. You will be able to log into your account and see the matches for which you have been allocated a seat in the media box, or a photo position.

All media activities will be conducted in line with any COVID-19 safety regulations in South Africa. Access to training in venue on match day -1 will be facilitated and further details regarding player access and press conferences will be provided in due course.

As at previous ICC events, NRH camerapersons will be accredited for the tournament, but only reporters will be accredited on match days. However, to assist NRHs, all pre-match and post-match media conferences will be uploaded to the Online Media Zone. We may also provide some B-roll footage from pre-match days.

Media persons applying for accreditation are responsible for undergoing any mandatory quarantine and obtaining any relevant visas or work permits as required and bear the costs associated with any of these.

The media is advised to carefully read the Media Accreditation Terms & Conditions and refer to the FAQs document to avoid inconvenience.
