Media Information for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 – Thursday, 9th November

The following is the schedule of media opportunities on Thursday, 9th November at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

New Zealand and Sri Lanka play a league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at 14h00 local time on Thursday 9th November at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

South Africa take on Afghanistan in a league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at 14h00 local time on Friday, 10th November at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

On their pre-match day on Thursday:

  • South Africawill hold a training session at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad starting from 14h00. They will hold their pre-match media conference at 13h30.
  • Afghanistanwill hold a training session at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad starting from 18h00 They will hold their pre-match media conference at 17h45.

Important accreditation information:

We are in the process of finalising match-day lists for all forthcoming matches. In case your plans have changed, please inform us at least 72 hours in advance so that we can accommodate someone else in your place. The failure to do so will result in you dropping the priority list for future matches.

We are seeing a number of applications from the same media outlet for any single match, could you please support us by informing the relevant ICC Media Manager at the venue and media-accreditation@icc-cricket.com your chosen reporter to cover the fixture at least 72 hours before. If we do not hear from you the media accreditation team will assign an individual to cover the match.

Accreditation advisory for Knockout Matches

We will open the non-Rights Holders match-day accreditation process for the semi-finals and final on Saturday, 11th November, at 10h00 Indian Standard Time. You will have time until 17h00 on Monday, 13th November to apply for these matches.

You will need to log on to the accreditation portal to make a selection of your matches.

Please note that you will need to upload a letter from your Editor/Sports Editor/Photo Chief on a company letterhead to confirm that you have been assigned to cover the matches selected. Any application not supported by such a letter or if the contents of the letter conflict with your selection, your application will not be considered.

Additional note for NRH media:

  • Accredited Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film pre-match day press conferences, but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on pre-match days may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • The ICC will upload unedited media conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels including YouTube.
  • If you intend to film non-matchday press conferences (either by camera or phone) please position yourself in the back row or behind the back row of seating.
  • Non-Rights Holder camerapersons will not be granted match day accreditation
  • No filming is allowed in the Mixed Zone for any NRH media

Note for photographers:

  • Photographers are expected to wear their bibs at all times and only permitted in designated areas
  • On pre-match days photographers need to shoot from the areas identified by the Venue Operations Manager
  • On match-days, photographers need to arrive for a pre-match meeting one hour in advance of the toss, when they will be assigned photo positions by the Venue Operations Manager
  • NRH photographers will not be allowed at press conferences.

Media Centre timings: On match days, the media areas will open two hours before the start of play and remain open till 2 ½ hours after close of play; on match day minus one and match day minus two, the media areas will remain open through the training session timings of the two teams and close one hour after the end of the last training session.
