The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Trophy Tour in Vanuatu!

The following is the schedule of media opportunities for the week beginning Monday 7 November at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Semi-final match allocations

New Zealand v Pakistan - 9 November - Semi-Final 1 – Sydney Cricket Ground at 19h00 (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)

India v England – 10 November – Semi-Final 2 – Adelaide Oval at 18h30 (Australian Central Daylight Time)

Monday 7 November - Sydney

Shane Watson

ICC commentator and former Australian player Shane Watson will be available to media at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday 7 November at 11h00am AEDT to preview the semi-finals.

Accredited reporters, camerapersons and photographers will be permitted to capture content from the venue. Media who are not accredited can attend but must email Max Abbott max.abbott@t20worldcup.com.au for approval to access the venue. Media are advised to enter via the member's gate.

New Zealand media opportunity

New Zealand’s Tim Southee will be available for a media opportunity from 12h00 AEDT at the Sydney Cricket Ground. For more information contact willy.nicholls@nzc.nz

Tuesday 8 November – Sydney

New Zealand and Pakistan will both hold training sessions and their pre-match press conferences at Sydney Cricket Ground. Times to be confirmed.

ICC Hall of Fame

The ICC will be announcing three new inductees into the ICC Hall of Fame on Tuesday 8 November – the Class of 2022.

That evening, the ICC will be hosting an Evening Reception at the Sydney Cricket Ground from 17h00 to 20h00 in which we will hear from the inductees on their careers, highlights, and their reactions to being inducted, followed by a short Q+A. Drinks and canapes will be served during the function and there are a limited number of spaces available to media. Dress code smart casual. Filming or photography during the event will not be permitted.

Any media that have yet to register their interest in attending the event are requested to email callum.davies@icc-cricket.com by 12noon AEDT on Monday 7 November.

The list of attendees will be confirmed on Monday evening and successful media will be notified by email.

Wednesday 9 November – Sydney and Adelaide

New Zealand and Pakistan play their semi-final match at the Sydney Cricket Ground at 19h00 local time (Australian Eastern Daylight Time). The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match in person and via Zoom. A player from the losing team will come in first, followed by a player from the winning team. A few players from each team will also be available for short stand-up interviews in the Mixed Zone, shortly after the press conferences have concluded.

India and England will both hold training sessions and their pre-match press conferences at Adelaide Oval. Times to be confirmed.

Thursday 10 November – Adelaide

India and England play their semi-final match at the Adelaide Oval at 18h30 local time (Australian Central Daylight Time). The teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match in person and via Zoom. A player from the losing team will come in first, followed by a player from the winning team. A few players from each team will also be available for short stand-up interviews in the Mixed Zone, shortly after the press conferences have concluded.

Saturday 12 November – Melbourne

Both finalists will hold training sessions and their pre-match press conferences at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Times to be confirmed.

Sunday 13 November – Melbourne

The final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground at 19h00 local time (Australian Eastern Daylight Time). Both teams will hold their post-match media conferences about 15 minutes after the end of the match in person and via Zoom. A player from the losing team will come in first, followed by a player from the winning team. A few players from each team will also be available for short stand-up interviews in the Mixed Zone, shortly after the press conferences have concluded.

Press conference and filming information

  • Press conferences at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will generally follow a hybrid model where apart from those attending in person, media persons will also be able to log on remotely via Zoom (as per details given above). Some media conferences may also be conducted remotely only via Zoom. Please ensure you are logged on five minutes prior to the start times of the press conferences.
  • Non-Rights Holders are allowed to film match day-1 press conferences but no filming is allowed inside the venues on match days. Videos shot at venues on match day -1 may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels.
  • The ICC will upload unedited press conference clips onto the Online Media Zone. The footage from press conferences, whether provided by the ICC or shot by the media themselves, may only be used on news channels and websites for editorial purposes and are not to be natively posted on any social media channels.
  • All press conferences will be live streamed via ICC Facebook.

Media Accreditation

  • If you are no longer able to attend the matches you have been approved for at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup please email: media.accreditation@t20worldcup.com.au to let us know, so that we can facilitate as many media as possible.
  • ICC Men’s T20 World Cup media accreditation allows access for all media on match day -1, even if you are unsuccessful for match day approval you are still able to attend match day -1.
